WHAT IS GAMECHANGERS?
GAMECHANGERS is a global talent search launched by CUPRA in collaboration with the Padel Tribe and the International Padel Federation, created with one bold purpose: to discover and propel the next generation of padel players.
This isn’t just a contest; it is a unique opportunity to win a CUPRA Scholarship and take your padel journey to the next level.
The Roadmap:
8 cities. 8 epic battles. 1 Master Final. Starting 26 March, the hunt for the ultimate talent begins. We are taking the Premier Padel to 8 international tournaments, across some of the world's most iconic arenas—from Brussels' Gare Maritime and Madrid's Movistar Arena to Bordeaux, London, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf, Milan, and Acapulco. At each stage, 4 selected talents will rise above the rest to join the Grand Final in Barcelona, where they will compete to be named the GAMECHANGERS winners and be awarded the CUPRA Scholarship.
How it works
Each GAMECHANGERS stop will be held during the same week and at the same venue as in selected Premier Padel tournament. This gives young players a unique opportunity to compete in the heart of the action, on the Premier Padel activation and central court.
Here’s how the selection process works:
- 1st step: Apply Online
One month before each tournament, applications open on the official website. Participation is individual — to enter, each player must submit a short video and complete a brief questionnaire. This confirms their entry into the contest.
- 2nd phase: The In-Person Showdown
Out of all first-round submissions, the Manu Martín Academy will select 32 standout players for the ultimate in-person trial, held on the Saturday of the local Premier Padel tournament.
Please note that each player is responsible for organising their travel to the event. However, every participant will receive an exclusive Welcome Pack, full-day access to the Premier Padel, and the opportunity to bring one guest along for the experience.
The morning will kick off with intense tests, exercises, and matches, where our expert jury—featuring representatives from CUPRA, the FIP, the Manu Martín Academy, and a Top 20 world player whenever possible—will handpick the top 8 players.
These 8 players will then face off on the court. If selected as one of the 4 finalists, you'll pack your bags for Barcelona to fight for the CUPRA Scholarship.
- 3rd Phase: Destination Barcelona
Locked in as one of the 8 finalists? Get ready, as the real battle is just beginning. You will play three tie-breaks, rotating partners in every match. The jury will then select 4 winners (2 girls, 2 boys) to pack their bags for Barcelona to fight for the CUPRA Scholarship.
Didn't make the top 8? The experience doesn't end here—head to the stands and enjoy the Premier Padel tournament with your provided ticket.
Barcelona Finals
All winners (32 in total) will finally head to Barcelona for an unforgettable, all-expenses-paid week during the Premier Padel Finals. Participants can all bring one guest, with both travel and accommodation fully covered. Enjoy full access to live matches, top-tier training, elite competition, and the final decisive battle for the CUPRA Scholarship.
Here’s how the final selection works:
- Bootcamp – CUPRA Club
Over two days (Thursday and Friday of the Premier Padel Barcelona Finals), the 32 finalists will train and compete at a CUPRA partner club. From this stage, 16 players will be selected to advance to the next round.
- Activation Court – Semi-Final Round
Out of the 2-day bootcamp, 16 players will step onto the Activation Court on Saturday at the Premier Padel Finals in Barcelona to battle for a spot in the final round.
- GAMECHANGERS Final – Central Court
Only 4 (2 men and 2 women) will be selected and awarded the scholarship.
